Skills grow as you play

Farming, Foraging, Mining, Fishing, Excavation, Archery, Defense, Fighting, Agility, Enchanting and Alchemy gain levels through their activities. You do not need to unlock a skill before starting. Open /skills to see your progress and what earns experience.

Higher levels unlock gathering perks such as extra drops and faster harvests. Skills do not add health or combat damage, so progression does not make a veteran stronger than a new player in a fight. Achievement titles give you another way to show what you have worked on.

Turn your favourite activities into jobs

Choose two skills as jobs in the skills menu. While a skill is your job, its experience also pays Crowns. Pick activities you already enjoy and use the earnings at player shops or to support your land. The skills and jobs guide explains how to select and change jobs.

Fishing beyond the usual catch

Use any rod and fish in water to discover custom catches alongside normal Minecraft fishing. Fish range from Common to Legendary and each has its own length. The journal tracks the kinds you have caught and your personal best for each.

The Fishmonger on the harbour quay opens the selling window too. Fishing is something to enjoy for its catches and competitions, rather than a promise of the fastest earnings.

Fishing contests and weekly goals

Daily fishing contests need more than one player fishing to run. Check /emf next and the fishing guide for the schedule and rules. Weekly goals combine a shared server objective, personal challenges and a contest with a title for the winner.

You can also take part in piñata parties at spawn. Read the piñata guide for invitations and rewards. All of these activities fit around ordinary survival: you can spend an evening building, running your shop or fishing with friends.
